Dr Wen graduated from the Medical College of St. Bartholomew's Hospital, University of London, in 1981. He completed his internal medicine training at the University of London postgraduate hospitals and his neurology residency in the Harvard-Longwood Neurology Training Program. . He is a former President of the Society For Neuro-Oncology, Editor-In-Chief of Neuro-Oncology and Principal Investigator of the Adult Brain Tumor Consortium. He is currently co-chair of the National Cancer Institute Brain Malignancy Steering Committee. His research is focused on novel therapies for brain tumors, especially gliomas, as well as improving clinical trial design and response assessment.
