Dr. DeBoer is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist with Stanford Health Care’s Byers Eye Institute and a clinical instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology. He specializes in retinal and macular diseases, treating a range of conditions such as cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment. He uses state-of-the-art treatments and prepares personalized, comprehensive care plans for each of his patients. Dr. DeBoer’s research interests include new retinal disease treatments, such as innovative techniques in vitreoretinal surgery and implantable microdevices. He has received grant funding for his work and has been invited to share his research at multiple conferences throughout the country.
