Dr. Michael Iv received his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He completed his radiology residency training at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and neuroradiology fellowship at Stanford University. He is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and also holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology. His primary research interest focuses on the use of advanced MRI techniques to probe the brain tumor microenvironment and improve our diagnostic capability to effectively monitor a tumor’s response to treatment. Examples include using ferumoxytol-enhanced MRI to image tumor associated macrophages and perfusion MRI to image tumor vascularity and neoangiogenesis.
