Khalid Khan, MD, is a pediatric gastroenterologist and medical director of the Islet Cell Transplant Program at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. In his dual roles, he provides medical care to both children with complex gastrointestinal diseases and disorders as well as adults and children undergoing islet cell transplant for chronic pancreatitis. Previously, Dr Khan held similar positions with the University Medical Center in Tucson and the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, where he also worked with both systems' pediatric hospitals.
