Stuart F Seides, MD, FACP, FACC, FAHA, FSCAI, is the physician chief executive of MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute (MHVI), overseeing heart and vascular care across MedStar Health, including its alliance with Cleveland Clinic. He is also a professor of Medicine at Georgetown.
A practicing cardiologist in Washington, D.C., since 1978, Dr Seides founded and led MedStar Cardiology Associates. He helped launch the coronary angioplasty program at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, now one of the nation’s largest.
A former leader of multiple medical organizations, he has co-authored a key textbook on cardiac electrophysiology and published widely in cardiovascular medicine. He is also a frequent speaker and media contributor.
