A board-certified internist, Dr. Kathleen Farrell has a passion for improving the lives of men, women, and teens through better health and aesthetics. She founded Laser Lisse to bring state-of-the-art, medical-grade aesthetic and cosmetic services to the Gaithersburg, Maryland, area. Dr. Farrell completed her undergraduate degree at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. At Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, she earned her MD degree and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine with a special focus on primary care and dermatology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, in Boston. After marrying a fellow Georgetown School of Medicine graduate, Dr. Farrell worked as an internist at Olmsted Medical Center in Rochester, Minnesota, for one year. In addition to heading Laser Lisse, Dr. Farrell practices outpatient medicine with her father and two sisters at Frekko Primary Care in Gaithersburg, Maryland. She is on staff at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital and is a member of the Montgomery County Medical Society, MedChi, and Georgetown Clinical Society. Dr. Farrell was chosen as a “Top Doc” in Washingtonian and Consumers’ Checkbook magazines. She was also named a “Rising Star” in Super Doctors magazine. In her spare time, Dr. Farrell loves tennis, yoga, and playing sports and engaging in other activities with her husband and three children.
