Dr Diala Steitieh completed an accelerated premedical program followed by a medical degree from Weill-Cornell Medicine in Qatar. After graduating she moved to New York where she completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Weill Cornell Medicine- New York Presbyterian Hospital. She served as chief fellow for the cardiovascular division, and now serves as the director of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center. Dr Steitieh is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Society. She is a principle investigator for clinical studies at Cornell, and also takes part in various outcomes research within the division of Cardiology.
