During medical school, she was drawn to oncology, recognizing cancer patients as special people facing a tough disease. She appreciates the team approach taken to treat cancer and the relationships that develop during the process. Dr Paez sees adult patients for cancer surgery involving the pancreas, liver, gallbladder and stomach. She also performs melanoma and sarcoma surgery.
