Following medical school, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas working at Parkland Memorial Hospital, the city's largest level 1 trauma center, and the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, the country's number one pediatric orthopedic hospital. His residency experience included a focus on orthopedic trauma, fracture care of upper and lower extremity injuries, arthroscopic management of intra-articular pathologies, as well as joint reconstruction and replacement.
