Laura B. Madsen, M.D. is a fellowship-trained radiologist with specialization in Breast Imaging. She is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus.Dr. Madsen graduated from Harvard University where she earned her B.A. in History and Science in 2011. She was awarded her M.Sc. in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2012. She earned her M.D. at New York Medical College in 2016.Following an internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West, Dr. Madsen completed residency in Diagnostic Radiology at NYU Langone Hospital- Long Island in 2021, where she was elected and served as Chief Resident. She completed her fellowship in Breast Imaging at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in June 2022. Dr. Madsen joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine in October 2022 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology.Dr. Madsen’s clinical expertise is in Breast Imaging. She interprets a variety of studies including mammography, breast ultrasound and breast MRI and performs breast interventional procedures including stereotactic breast biopsies, ultrasound guided breast biopsies and MRI guided breast biopsies.
