Dr. Corrent received his undergraduate degree in zoology at Duke University and completed his graduate education at Rice University in neurology. He attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston for his medical degree. He went on to complete an internal medicine internship at the University of Florida-Jacksonville, an ophthalmology residency at Washington University in St. Louis, and a cornea and external eye diseases fellowship at The Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami. Dr. Corrent was the chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic – Florida. Dr. Corrent is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and more. Specializing in corneas, infectious diseases of the eyes, ocular allergies, and glaucoma, Dr. Corrent finds it gratifying to be able to improve people’s vision, and loves the fact his patients are always so appreciative.
