Dennis Johnson, APRN, is a nurse practitioner specializing in psychiatry/mental health. Dennis earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana University Southeast, New Albany, and his master’s degree in nursing from Northern Kentucky University, Highland Heights. Dennis completed his child and adolescent clinical rotation with Norton Children’s Behavioral & Mental Health and performed inpatient psychiatric consultations at various hospitals in Louisville. In addition, he completed clinical training across the lifespan at Wellstone Regional Hospital in Southern Indiana and focused on addiction services in the private practice outpatient setting. He is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Dennis provides care for patients experiencing major depressive disorder, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and substance use disorder. His patient care philosophy is to treat each patient as he would wish to be treated, making sure each patient feels validated and heard. Dennis is a Louisville native. He enjoys staying physically active with boxing and weightlifting. He likes spending time outdoors with family and friends.
