Dr. Katherine Charles received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2013 and completed her residency training at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital (now Mount Sinai Morningside-West) in 2016.Dr. Charles previously worked as an attending physician at BronxCare hospital and within the Veterans Administration before joining Weill Cornell Medicine.Prior to her career as a physician, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Corporate and Organizational Communication from the College of Charleston in 2005 and worked in private sector Marketing and Public Relations from 2005-2009.Dr. Charles is an attending physician at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, as well as NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital. She is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine. In addition to patient-centered care and medical education, Dr. Charles has interests in MedicalWriting and Medical Humanities.
