Iosif Gulkarov, MD, is Chief, Cardiothoracic Surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and an assistant professor of clinical cardiothoracic surgery at Weill Cornell Medical Center.He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the New York Society for Thoracic Surgery, the American College of Cardiology, the Society of Thoracic Surgery, and the American College of Chest Physicians. Active in research, Dr. Gulkarov has been published in medical journals, case reports, and has presented his work in grand rounds at various medical centers. He was recently recognized for his exemplary service during the COVID-19 pandemic.After graduating from NYU School of Medicine, Dr. Gulkarov served his internship, residency, and chief residency at New York University Medical Center, where he remained to complete his cardiovascular research fellowship in the department of cardiothoracic surgery. He served his cardiothoracic fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical Center.
