Jose Pimiento, MD, FACS
Dr Jose M Pimiento is a surgical oncologist in the Gastrointestinal Oncology Program at the Moffitt Cancer Center, where he serves as the medical director of the Inpatient Surgical Service and leads the Upper Gastrointestinal Oncology Section. Born in Colombia, Dr Pimiento attended medical school at the National University of Colombia. He completed his surgical training at Saint Mary's Health System in Waterbury, Connecticut, a Yale University-affiliated program, where he also conducted a year of research in vascular biology. He later completed fellowship training in Surgical Oncology and Surgical Oncology Research at the Moffitt Cancer Center.
