Johnny Tran, MD, is an anesthesiologist and Clinical Assistant Professor at Montefiore Einstein. Dr Tran’s clinical focus includes providing general anesthesia and regional nerve blocks for patients undergoing surgery. In addition, he provides inpatient acute pain consultations and sees patients as an outpatient for chronic pain. To treat chronic pain, he uses evidence-based and a multi-modal approach that includes medications, therapy and fluoroscopic or ultrasound-guided interventions. In 2013, Dr Tran received his Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry and molecular biology from Hendrix College. He then pursued his medical education at University of Iowa, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 2017.
