John M. Karamichalis, MD is an experience board certified cardiothoracic surgeon with subspecialty certification in Pediatric cardiac surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He joined Columbia University Medical Center January 2021 and has been appointed as the Associate Program Director of the Columbia University Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency Program. He is experienced in the entire field of pediatric cardiac surgery with areas of expertise including the Ross procedure, valve repair procedures, and minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
