He did his residency at Beth Israel Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at UCSF. Dr. Brown received the Young Investigator Award from the American Society of Transplant Physicians, the Senior Attending Teaching Award at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and the American Liver Foundation New York chapter Physician of the Year.
