Samantha is family nurse practitioner in the Paris Clinic. In 2020, she expanded her practice to include outpatient psychiatric services.
As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner credentialed through the American Nurses Credentialing Center, Samantha provides psychiatric services for patients of all ages, including children age 5 and older. She treats common to complex conditions, such as ADHD, addiction, anxiety, child behavior or academic issues, obesity and/or eating disorders. She also treats bipolar disorder, dementia, depression, insomnia, PTSD, and schizophrenia. She prescribes behavioral health-related medications when appropriate, one of which is Suboxone, a medication-assisted treatment for drug addiction.
Samantha first joined Horizon Health as a registered nurse in the hospital’s emergency room. She returned to Horizon Health in 2012 as a nurse practitioner. She has served in various roles over the years, including providing patient care at the EZ Care walk-in clinic. She provided coverage at the Chrisman Clinic on several occasions, and worked as a hospitalist in the inpatient unit at Paris Community Hospital.
