Dr. Yeboa has dedicated his career to the care of children and adults with genetic disorders, as well as pregnant women with concerns about the health of their children. Dr. Yeboa graduated from the University of Ghana Medical school in Accra, Ghana, and completed his pediatric residency training at Harlem Hospital. He went on to complete fellowship training in clinical genetics at NewYork-Presbyterian/ Columbia University Medical Center, in the Department of Pediatrics (known as Babies Hospital at that time). Currently a professor of pediatrics and director of the Division of Clinical Genetics, Dr. Yeboa was formerly director of the medical genetics fellowship program at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is board-certified in both pediatrics and clinical genetics. Dr. Yeboa's major expertise is in elucidating the underlying molecular basis for complex, and very often rare, genetic disorders. Through his research he has identified several previouly undescribed, or inadequtely described, genetic syndromes.
