Jenny Bencardino, MD

Jenny Teresa Bencardino, MD, is Vice-Chair, Academic Affairs and Professor, Radiology at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical interests focus on the imaging diagnosis, follow-up and treatment of sports-related injuries of the musculoskeletal system and peripheral nerves. In 1991, Dr Bencardino earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. She completed her radiology residency at the Hospital of San Ignacio, Pontificia Universidad in 1995. Dr Bencardino came to the United States as a research musculoskeletal radiology fellow at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, which was followed by a yearlong musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at the same institution in 1997.
