Maureen Foley, APN is a member of Summit Health's Internal Medicine team. As an advanced practice nurse, Ms. Foley has the clinical knowledge and expertise to provide primary and preventive care to adult patients.
Treating people in a holistic manner and considering their experiences as both an individual and a member of a community has been a common theme for Ms. Foley. Over the course of her career, she has been fortunate to work in a variety of medical environments and specialties, including hospital nursing, primary care nursing in rural and urban communities, and even overseas as a member of an international non-governmental organization (NGO). She says, “Nursing has allowed me tremendous opportunities to learn and grow as a nurse and a person.”
Ms. Foley enjoys bringing her knowledge and experience to each visit in order to optimize a patient’s health. “Whether seeing someone during an acute illness or for a routine well visit, listening and being present are skills that are integral to my practice,” she says. I also very much value a team approach to patient care, and enjoy working in collaboration with the patient, physicians, specialists and affiliated providers to address care needs.
When not with patients, Ms. Foley enjoys reading, traveling, and exploring new cultures and textile arts.
