Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a doctor. It was the natural meeting of my intellectual curiosity and desire to help others. There were many paths I considered before selecting the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology, including pediatrics and psychiatry. However, as I explored all my options, I was drawn to a career in service of women. What I want my patients to know about me: I grew up moving around a lot, but the vast majority of my life was spent in the South. I moved to York four years ago to attend residency at WellSpan York Hospital. I quickly fell in love with this area for its weather and outdoor activities.
