Dr Hamel wanted to become be a doctor because it is the perfect combination of science and helping others. She decided to be an OB-GYN after she experienced her nephew’s birth via caesarean section. Dr Hamel attended medical school at the University of Kansas Medical Center and completed her OB-GYN residency at the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine.
