From an early age, I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. In high school, I completed health science courses and worked as a receptionist in a primary care office. Later, I worked as a nursing assistant, and upon completion of my undergraduate degree, a registered nurse in the Emergency Department. I was involved in the treatment of a broad range of patients with life threatening illnesses and was particularly drawn to trauma, strokes and cardiovascular disorders. I continued to work while pursuing my master’s degree to become a nurse practitioner. I desired to maintain my practice/career in the community in which I was raised. Vascular surgery became a unique interest of mine, seemingly a coalesce of complex health issues of my preference. I take pleasure in establishing relationships with patients and their families on a personal level while we work together to establish individualized treatment plans. I educate patients extensively on their condition as well as risk factor modification. I am invested in this community and the outcomes of those I serve. Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my husband and our two daughters. They are my greatest joy. I enjoy fitness, reading, and spending quality time with my friends and family. I truly enjoy my work and look forward to meeting you.
