Rebecca Friess, MD is a member of Summit Health’s Allergy and Immunology team. Dr. Friess is experienced working with both children and adults and treating a variety of allergic conditions including food allergies, environmental allergies, medication allergies, asthma, eczema, and hives. She is skilled in performing procedures and interpreting diagnostic testing for allergy and asthma evaluation, including skin testing for food and environmental allergies, food and medication challenges, and spirometry.
Dr. Friess works with her patients to not only treat their symptoms, but also to identify the underlying cause of the symptoms in order to create a care plan that can guide management and prevention effectively. Dr. Friess always prioritizes a patient’s understanding of their own care and works to increase each patient’s sense of empowerment in managing their healthcare.
What Dr. Friess enjoys most about her work is what led her to pursue her career in health care: the opportunity to build relationships with people, help them understand their health journey and improve their quality of life.
In her free time Dr. Friess enjoys reading, gardening, and exploring local parks with her family.
