Doctor Bradley spent less than 10 minutes on my first appointment seeing him, for arthritis. He didn't ask me what my arthritis pain felt like, which was reported to his nurse, as above 5 out of 10. Dr. Bradley did not come closer to me, than within a 3 foot distance. He did not touch my arthritic fingers at all. Did not check them for redness, warmth, swelling, nothing. I have bone spurs on 8 fingers, a sign of advanced arthritis. I have thumb bone on bone arthritis, both thumbs, and was wearing a thumb splint, due to pain that day. He didn't say a word about that. He said a pain dr. might prescribe Tramadol for pain. He could have prescribed that himself! It does not require a pain dr. to prescribe that. He agreed to refer me to an Occupational Therapist. I was referred to one I knew nothing about. I'd given him the name, and info.of the place covered my insurance. I'd also spoken to the Hand Therapist there. The dr. knew what her suggestions for treatment were, as well, and her long years being an Occupational Therapist. Then I was referred to another clinic for O.T., I found out when they called to set up an appointment. The one thing he did was not even done correctly! Dr. Bradley also told me that he only treated inflammatory arthritis. His receptionist told me the dr. treated osteoarthritis, when I called to try to get an appointment to see the dr. I'd clearly told her what type of arthritis I had on the first phone call. Also, Rheumatologists are supposed to be qualified to diagnose and treat all 200 types of arthritis. That appointment was nothing, but a waste of time. Dr. Sedrick Bradley even told me to get my Internist to give me a referral to a pain doctor, if needed. That was what he/himself was supposed to do; not my Internist's job. After Dr. Bradley left the room, his nurse asked me to sign an authorization form, for the dr. to get prior records. I signed the form. I wasn't sure why the dr. wanted prior records; when he made it clear, he didn't want to see me again.
