There she was awarded the high honor of serving as Chief Resident, and was recognized with the Resident of the Year award. Dr Mehta continued to pursue specialized training following her residency, and as a result of her outstanding work, she was deemed Fellow of the Year during her Gastroenterology Fellowship which was also at Medical City Fort Worth. Additionally, Dr Mehta completed a Transplant Hepatology Fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center. She is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine with a subspecialty certification in Gastroenterology.
