Richard Meyrat, MD, obtained his medical degree with high honors at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, which included specialized training in treating complex cranial and spinal tumors at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He then completed his fellowship at the Department of Orthopedics, Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Bordeaux, France, with special focus on dynamic stabilization including disc replacement technology and endoscopic technique. His interests include cranial and spinal trauma, spinal deformity, skull base surgery, artificial disc replacement, complex malignant and benign tumors, and minimally invasive spine surgery.
