Dr. Lisa Alderson treats patients with heart disease, providing clinical care, consultation, and imaging services (stress tests, echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography). Her expertise is adult congenital heart disease, clinical cardiology and cardiac imaging.
Dr. Alderson is involved in research examining outcomes of blood thinner use over the long-term. She also participates in National Institutes of Health trials, including the Chronic Inflammation Reduction Trial, which looks at reducing inflammation with methotrexate to determine if it improves cardiovascular outcomes in patients with diabetes mellitus and prior myocardial infarction.
Dr. Alderson is an assistant professor at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
