Beacon Cancer Care Memorial, accredited through the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, is staffed by highly skilled oncologists specializing in the treatment of hematologic and oncologic disorders. Our dedicated staff work side by side with oncology physicians to deliver the highest quality care. We use the most advanced technology and procedures in the region to diagnose and treat cancer, offering advanced radiation therapy, specialized cancer vaccine trials, chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment regimens.
Inpatient Care: As a patient-focused care center, we bring our experts and most services right to your room. Our services include chemotherapy and immunotherapy, radiation therapy, blood product transfusions, nutritional support, pain and symptom management, pre- and post-care for bone marrow transplant patients, physical therapy, psychosocial support, pulmonary treatments, as well as other supportive therapies. The inpatient oncology unit features 23 private patient rooms and is located on the 10th floor at Memorial Hospital. All inpatient rooms include flat-screen televisions. Our positive pressure rooms protect patients with depressed immune systems.
Medication Assistance Program (MAP): The Medication Assistance Program (MAP) assists patients and their physicians in applying for financial assistance programs through drug manufacturers and other funding foundations. These companies provide free medication or grants to cover medication costs to uninsured or underinsured patients who meet income guidelines. Beacon Cancer Care has dedicated patient assistance coordinators to help patients navigate this process.
Outpatient Infusion Center: Our infusion center is managed by a collaborative team of experts including physicians, nurse practitioners, certified oncology nurses, nurse navigators, and supportive staff. We offer a wide variety of outpatient services including chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, blood product transfusions, medical infusions and therapies. The infusion center is conveniently located at the Main Entrance with valet and volunteer services available. It has been recently updated with 3 patient bays and 6 private rooms and floor to ceiling windows to provide natural light.
