Shawn Stevens, MD, is an otolaryngologist at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Stevens’ expertise includes hearing and vestibular disorders, skull base surgery, and Gamma Knife radiosurgery for the treatment of skull base and temporal bone tumors. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Stevens earned his medical degree from Ohio State University. He completed his residency in otolaryngology at the Medical University of South Carolina and a fellowship in otology, neuro-otology, and skull base surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Dr. Stevens’ research interests include hearing preservation surgery for vestibular schwannoma, tumors and disorders of the skull base, surgical approaches to the lateral skull base, cochlear implantation, Gamma Knife radiosurgery, spontaneous cerebrospinal fluid otorrhea, and skull base phrenology.
