Dr. Daniel J. Lee is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Columbia University Medical Center. He specializes in the treatment of adults with acute and chronic leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes, and myeloproliferative disorders.Dr. Lee’s research focuses on developing new treatments for acute myeloid leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and myelodysplastic syndrome. He has a special interest in conducting early phase clinical trials utilizing novel small molecule inhibitors and immunotherapy for patients with these malignancies. In particular, Dr. Lee is interested in targeting regulators of the cell cycle that may be effective for a wide range of patients while minimizing side effects.He earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Stanford University Medical Center. He then completed his fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the New York Presbyterian Hospital – Columbia University Medical Center.
