John Y. Suh, DPM, FACFAS, is a board certified podiatric surgeon by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He attended Temple University Hospital (TUH) for his residency training, which is home to one of few four-year surgical residencies certified in forefoot and rearfoot/ankle reconstructive surgery in the United States. Temple Hospital is also a level one trauma center allowing for abundant exposure in foot and ankle trauma, including ankle fractures, calcaneal fractures and gunshot wound injuries to the lower extremity. TUH is also associated with the Temple Limb Salvage Center, allowing for excellent training in wound care and diabetic limb salvage. He also holds multiple certifications which include total ankle replacement surgery and surgical ankle arthroscopy.
Although Dr. Suh is extensively trained in foot and ankle surgery, he enjoys treating all ailments associated with the foot and ankle. He believes in conservative approaches to solving many issues that is often seen in the foot and ankle.
Dr. Suh is the coauthor of articles that are published in the prestigious, peer-reviewed scientific journals Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association and Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Suh is an accomplished pianist. When he is not working with his patients, he enjoys playing piano and guitar, running, snowboarding, and traveling.
