Katherine DiDonato
Katherine DiDonato, PhD, ACT, is a clinical psychologist with expertise in cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety disorders, including panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and phobias. Dr. DiDonato also treats patients who have depression, relationship problems, stress, and anger management issues. She has provided therapy in many settings, including community mental health clinics, hospitals, correctional institutions, day treatment programs, and schools.
Before joining Summit Health, Dr. DiDonato was Forensic Program Supervisor for the Bergen County Division of Family Guidance in Hackensack, New Jersey. She also has been a senior clinical psychologist for the Bergen County Division of Family Guidance. Her professional experience includes positions with New York Harbor Healthcare Veterans Affairs in Brooklyn, New York, the Center for Psychological Services in Hackensack, and the North Shore Hospital Anxiety Treatment Program in North Shore, Long Island.
Dr. DiDonato notes, "I believe therapy can be a powerful way to understand motivations, improve relationships, change behavioral patterns, and resolve painful emotions. Having a safe, supportive professional relationship between therapist and patient is key to successful therapy."
Dr. DiDonato is also the lead practitioner for Summit Health's Stop Smoking Now Program.
