"When I work with an adolescent, my focus is not on fixing them. My focus is on helping them discover who they are by encouraging them to evaluate the way they think about themselves and the world around them. I assist them in disputing thoughts that sustain their negative perspective, and work with them to find a more balanced way of viewing themselves and the world so that they no longer feel lost," says Ms. Hodge. “Life is about balance.”
