Ellen Seuffert, RN, FNP, has expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive health care plans to address patients' needs throughout the span of their lives. Ms. Seuffert identifies and manages episodic and chronic health issues, recommends and orders preventive screenings, and educates patients about prevention and wellness.
Ms. Seuffert has been with Westfield Family Practice for almost 2 decades. Before joining the Westfield practice, she was Director of Student Health at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Ms. Seuffert says, "As an undergraduate student, I worked with a nurse practitioner in a busy New York City clinic who was consistently kind and compassionate despite the complexity of her patients' needs. Her approach moved and inspired me. I strive to treat my patients with the same compassion I would want for my family."
When she is not working with her patients, Ms. Seuffert volunteers for a soup kitchen. She also is a Eucharistic Minister for her church. She also has trained and handles 2 therapy dogs, with whom she visits schools, hospitals, and nursing homes.
Ms. Seuffert is a recipient of the New Jersey College Health Association College Health Nurse of the Year Award.
