Evan S. Fischer, MD, specializes in hand surgery, including elbow, wrist, and finger fractures repair, reconstruction, and joint replacement; minimally invasive elbow, wrist, and hand surgery such as percutaneous trigger-finger release, needle aponeurotomy for Dupuytren’s disease, mini-open carpal tunnel release, arthroscopic-assisted and fragment-specific fixation of wrist fracturess, and endoscopic cubital tunnel release; as well as tendon, nerve and microsurgery. Dr. Fischer treats children, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Fischer has practiced privately in Montclair, New Jersey since 1998 and joined Summit Health in 2014. He has been the hand surgery consultant for the Athletic Departments at New Jersey Institute of Technology and Montclair State University for many years and was previously team physician for the New Jersey Pride professional lacrosse team and the New Jersey Devils Youth Hockey Club. Dr. Fischer is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and American Association for Hand Surgery.
