Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: Growing up involved in caring for polo horses, I initially wanted to be a veterinarian. I grew to value much more greatly the reward of working closely with and caring for people. Surgery, especially plastic surgery allows me the constant technical challenge for skillful creativity and call to perfection concurrent with the intellectual challenge of practicing medicine, which together transforms lives. What I want my patients to know about me: I value the unique privilege and select opportunity to work with each patient. I always strive to give my best. It is my hope that each patient will feel like he or or she is my only patient.
