Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: Originally, I was working at Shady Grove Family Care as a medical secretary. I later worked as a registered nurse on the Med/Surg floor at Waynesboro Hospital and then later transitioned to the Emergency Room. After completing school to become a nurse practitioner, I knew I wanted to work in a wound clinic and be autonomous. I served as the Waynesboro Hospital Wound Care Committee Chairperson for several years. I eventually started to see myself in more of the family care role though. What I want my patients to know about me: I grew up in Greencastle, so my family has kept me in the area.
