Dr. Loewy is board eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and received his fellowship training in Foot and Ankle surgery at OrthoCarolina Foot and Ankle Institute. He is a member of numerous orthopedic organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the Florida Orthopaedic Society.
Dr. Loewy has been involved in orthopedic research projects and has published his findings on techniques in foot and ankle surgery. He also gives educational presentations to other physicians regarding total ankle procedures and foot deformities.
Throughout his medical training, Dr. Loewy has been recognized for his achievements in orthopedics. He was awarded for his outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in addition to his dedication in an aspiring career in orthopedics.
Born and raised in central Florida and completing his residency in Tampa, Dr. Loewy is extremely happy to be able to come back home to take care of his patients. He believes that the relationship between the patient and the physician is the most important aspect of medicine. Dr. Loewy takes pride in using either conservative or operative treatments to create customized plans of care to return patients to their normal lifestyle.
In his spare time, Dr. Loewy enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. He also enjoys offshore fishing. He is a fan of both the University of Florida Gators and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
