Dr. Hasan is a board-certified endocrinologist specializing in diabetes, endocrinology, and metabolism. His professional areas of interest include pituitary, adrenal, parathyroid, and testosterone disorders, and the endocrine causes of infertility. He received his medical degree from the University of Duhok in Duhok, Iraq. He also received a Master of Public Health degree from Harvard University, which was funded by the Fulbright Scholarship.
Dr. Hasan joined Allegheny Health Network in the summer of 2018. Prior to that he was an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology at the University of Virginia. He has conducted NIH-funded clinical research and has presented in national meetings, including the Endocrine Society annual meeting. Dr. Hasan holds memberships with a number of medical societies including the American Medical Association, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the Endocrine Society. In 2016 he received the FLARE (Future Leaders Advancing Research in Endocrinology) award from the Endocrine Society. He is heavily involved in teaching medical residents and fellows, and is currently the Associate Program Director of the Endocrinology Fellowship at AHN. In his free time, Dr. Hasan enjoys hiking, swimming, and biking. He lives In Wexford, PA, with his wife and two children. Dr. Hasan is welcoming new patients.
