Dr. Douglas Slaughter, board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon, has been using minimally invasive surgical techniques for over 20 years. A reconstructive spine surgeon, Dr. Slaughter specializes in complex spinal injuries, including compression fractures, spondylolisthesis, and high-impact sports injuries. In addition, Dr. Slaughter also serves patients with age-related conditions from wear and tear, including osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, and degenerative disc disease.
Dr. Slaughter earned his undergraduate degree from Ohio State University, while he was simultaneously serving in the United States Army Reserves. With a B.S. in mechanical engineering and biochemistry under his belt, he went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Subsequently, Dr. Slaughter completed his surgical residency in orthopedics at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Currently, Dr. Slaughter practices orthopedic medicine at NJ Spine & Orthopedic, where he continues to develop minimally invasive techniques to advance the field of spine surgery.
