Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
I was attracted to having the opportunity to use very cool technology on a daily basis to prevent, control or cure a number of common medical maladies affecting our population.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
Preventing colon cancer and the life altering complications of acid reflux disease.

Undergrad: Tulane University, Medical School: University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, Internal Medicine Residency: San Juan VA Medical Center, Gastroenterology Fellowship: at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
What certifications do you hold?
Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
Traveling the world, enjoying food, fitness training, music fans, sport fans and movie buffs.
Do you have any special honors or recognitions in your medical career that you would like to share?
AOA Medical Honor Society, Glaxo GI Fellowship Research Award, past Chief of Staff at MCOM. “Best Doctor in Dallas” in D Magazine multiple years.
