Dr. Gonzaga received his medical degree from Universidad Catolica de Santiago de Guayaquil in Ecuador. He completed his general psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Elmhurst Hospital Center in New York and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Chicago. In addition to psychiatric education, he received psychodynamic psychotherapy training at the New York University Psychoanalytic Institute. A board-certified adult psychiatrist, Dr. Gonzaga is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Gonzaga's clinical interests include forensic psychiatry, anxiety, depression, psychodynamic psychotherapy and the integration of psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy.
