Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I have worked as a registered nurse (RN) since 1995. During that time, I was drawn to women's health. I spent 14 years as a labor and delivery/maternity RN. I choose to pursue my career further as a certified nurse midwife and women's health nurse practitioner to have more autonomy. I desired to work one-on-one with women in making positive life choices for them and their families. What I want my patients to know about me: I genuinely care about my patient outcomes during pregnancy, not just for my patient, but for the family as a whole. I would like them to know that the health choices they make now have an impact on the rest of their lives.
