I was treated by Dr. Windisch and was treated with such respect she explained every thing in terms that I could understand without making me feel ignorant. I would tell anyone if they have a problem that she treats go see her you will not be disappointed.
I visited Dr. Windisch with minor-moderate concerns after a referral from my general practitioner. Though I communicated a preference for a non-medication route of investigation, she immediately prescribed a medication that aggravated my symptoms considerably. When I communicated the increased severity, she moved me to an alternative medication for the same assumptive diagnosis. The alternative further aggravated the symptoms. During this time it became apparent to me that the cause of my symptoms was kidney stones which are present in my medical history. After visiting urgent care and the ER within two weeks, Dr. Windisch continued to insist that stones were not the issue and continued exploratory treatment (including surgery) in a different direction. During this office consultation, I was in tears due to her lack of understanding, condescending bedside manner and a general feeling of patient helplessness. She yawned several times during this conversation and was not open to my questions. After going home and looking further into Dr. Windisch's medical history/feedback online, I very easily found several other reviews from her experience in KY that sounded exactly like my experience. They were so similar that family members thought I wrote the reviews, not noticing the date/location. I changed providers and passed a large stone prior to any additional treatment. This experience cost my family alot of frustration and caused a loss of work as we experimented with medications and managed bouts of enormous pain. My intention in posting is to help others educate themselves before having such an experience.
