I called UCHealth in Loveland to make an appoint because my daughter is sick. They tell me it will be at least 2 weeks before there are any available appointments. Am I expected to have my child suffer with an illness for 2 weeks? If I was scheduling an appointment for a check-up this would be fine but when your child is sick they shouldn't have to wait 2 weeks to see a doctor. We were previously with Kaiser and they could always get a sick kid in the same day or at the latest the next day. I'm not sure if this is lousy customer service or just indicative of a failing health care system. Hopefully its not related to the fact that my daughter is on Medicaid because that could surely be misconstrued as discrimination on the part of UC Health.
