I received a call the morning of my surgery telling me I needed to pay an additional $4K for services. I had been requesting information on payment for over six weeks. I was in the holding room of the surgical suite with an IV IN MY ARM and Michelle comes in and tells me she is not going to do my surgery. She never asked me any questions about MY goals, MY needs or anything related to me as the patient and then told me I had unreasonable expectations.

I had already paid for the surgery. My husband and I both had to take off work, so we lost time and money due to the unprofessionalism of this provider and surgical center in addition to everything else.

I am extremely grateful that she canceled that surgery. I went to the Eye Centers of TN in Crossville, TN and it was an amazingly professional experience.

I do believe part of this was a process problem, but this providers inability to have a professional conversation is concerning. Proceed with caution.

I first saw Ms. Nguyen in 11/2023 for a consultation for blepharoplasty. I did not get a call from her office about my surgery until May of 2024. It was finally scheduled for 7/12/2024. I had a call at 0800 the am of my surgery informing me that I owed another 4K dollars. I had repeatedly ask about cost and payments for weeks prior to the surgery date, so when I got that call, it was a little unnerving. I get to the facility, I'm in the surgery holding room with an IV in my arm and Nguyen comes in to do an assessment. I repeatedly tried to make eye contact with her and asked questions. I was told to be quiet and look forward. I sat in that holding room for over an hour and she comes and starts talking about these procedures that have not been mentioned- laser resurfacing? I'm NOT there for that. SHE canceled my surgery with me IN the surgery suite. I'm sitting there with a 4K dollar check, the staff were as lost and confused as I was.
I am not even sure this woman went to medical school. I have been a professional nurse for 35 years and have never seen money exchanged in a surgery suite or had a doctor tell a patient to be quiet, look forward, basically just shut the hell up is what she told me. Use this provider with caution. I would not allow her to touch my face, my family, or anyone I know and care about.
