April Garden AFH
The April Garden Adult Family Home does more than just say it offers a home-like atmosphere. To the outside, it looks just like any other home in Snohomish, WA, but inside our doors is a high quality and experienced realm of care. Our specialty is providing care to those needing Hospice, post-stroke, oxygen, MS, and ParkinsonÆs treatments, and also working with those who are resistive to care. Our staff cares for our patients both day and night, to give their families the comfort of knowing their loved ones are safe. April Garden has a maximum of six beds: four private rooms with shared baths, and one shared room with shared bath. Some of the rooms are able to support a couple if one or both need care at the home, and we would consider accepting boarders and small pets. All of our medical services are given by our registered nurse, who can explain how the medical procedures will happen within our family home and be able to answer any questions about specific care instructions or needs. Some of the residents who have received care at April Garden have needed two person assists or the Hoyer lift, care for traumatic brain injuries, insulin injections, care for peg tubes, and rehabilitation services. Our qualified medical staff considers all of the residents to be as family, and also has the skills needed to provide a wide variety of medical treatments and services. Many elderly residents receiving care at April Garden have come from either Snohomish or surrounding communities, after having lived independently, in nursing homes, senior living facilities, or other elder care environments. This helps bond us all as a community because we are like neighbors who now live together. If your loved ones join us, we would welcome them as well.
